Our own RJ Kenny spent the past week flying PA, schlepping gear, and doing a little mixing with our good friends at Lighthouse Productions. If you don’t know what a Hodag is or where Rhinelander, Wisconsin is, you haven’t experienced country music at its finest. The Hodag Festival annually welcomes 40K+ avid country music fans while featuring stars like Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt, Lee Ann Womack, Pam Tillis, Eric Church, and The Oak Ridge Boys over the past 43 years. It also wouldn’t be a Sunday night if Neal McCoy wasn't climbing the truss structure to the 55’ high mainstage roof while the crowd holds their breath.
Lighthouse Productions was an early adapter of Link’s LKS Data hybrid 6 circuit “soca” compatible Power+Data cables. Lighthouse simplified prep and setup using LKS Data and their customized breakouts for this year’s festival, saving time and money on the lighting rig. The Lighthouse crew flew four trusses populated with various movers and LED luminaires for this year’s show, all powered and controlled through LKS Data. Neil Roehrborn, Lighthouse’s GM, told us, “It saves 30% of my prep and load-in time, and the guys fight to use it!”
